Stinging Insects in the Las Vegas Area

A bee colony is the most evident sign of infestation. Many bees will die after they sting, leaving their stinger and venom sacs attached, but not all do. Wasps, for example, can sting repeatedly and will often do so if they feel threatened or if they are defending their nest. There is only one queen per beehive, which is the largest bee, and her main function is laying eggs.
